From the Wedding Aisle to the Window Seat: Our Travel Adventures and Everything Else In Between

South Island Sun

Isn’t that view gorg? Bill and I headed to the South Island a weekend or two ago (yes, I’ve been slacking on the blogging, I know, I know.) It was sunny, warm, and people were even wearing shorts! Spring is technically here, but on the South Island it already felt like summer.

We jumped on the Interislander Ferry, which takes about 3.5 hours to cross the Cook Strait, and the maneuver through the channels to Picton, on the South Island.

The water is a stunning color. It’s a greenish-blue, and crystal clear.

Me on the ferry. Can you tell which way the wind is blowing. It got so windy up there I was leaning forward just to stay upright.
